Phil Wall
Can anyone recommend a good quality pillar pod, no tacky rubbish.
Syed Shah
There was going to be a group buy, but it did not work out. Right now, the Greddy is supposed to be quite good. But I personally would like someone (Justin?) to get some proper triple-pod a-pillars for the RHD Supra.

BOLTS
Registerednutter has the three pod device that fits were the air bag goes, and it looks really good, some thing i would like to do my self !!
Phil Wall
I have considered the glove box option, but would prefer to have important gauges closer to my field of vision.
Alex
I personally wouldn't want clutter...so a 2x52mm pod is what I'm thinking about - EGT and and oil temp...I've got a 60mm GReddy boost gauge already mounted in the left hand air vent. I've always wondered how you're supposed to read dials mounted in the glove box....
eyefi
im interested in 1 too, i had hopes with this post :http://www.rolec.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=11&topic=219 but never heard anything else i think the glove box option is a bit strange myself (looks neat), but at wot u want them gauges visable when u r looking out the windscreen. i suppose the replay on electrics helps but its not as good a solution as a pillar mount. mark: someone suggested to me that an oil cooler does not cost not much more than a oil temp gauge and its better to have cool oil than know that yr oil is very hot. i thought this was a good point. fuel pressure could be another good one, or even better than that a wideband 02 sensor and an air/fuel ratio gauge
eyefi
the trust/greddy double 60mm is £42 on taka kaira and small enough to post
Paul Whiffin
I'm working on getting some pillar pods at the moment, I'll let you all know when I do of course. Also I think from memory the gauge pods for the upper glove box are around £200 approx. Paul
Andy Metcalfe
I`ll be up for a pillar mounting pod, once i`m back on track!
Flavio
someone suggested to me that an oil cooler does not cost not much more than a oil temp gauge and its better to have cool oil than know that yr oil is very hot. i thought this was a good point. fuel pressure could be another good one, or even better than that a wideband 02 sensor and an air/fuel ratio gauge I mostly use my oil temp gauge to see when the engine is warmed up and I can give it some stick! I have an EGT gauge as well but in retrospect I should have gotten a wideband O2 sensor in the first place. I have an FJO wideband on order now (www.fjoinc.com). It will really save you dyno time (and money!) and tuning on the street is better than tuning on the dyno anyway. When running high boost it is the most important gauge. Paul Whiffin
I've got an FJO myself Nic, haven't plumbed it in yet though. Will be very soon as I'm off to the rollers week after next to get my new ECU mapped.
Flavio
Paul, Shouldn't you fit the FJO before going to the rollers, it would help in tuning the fuel maps, wouldn't it? Where are you going to fit the LED display of the FJO? Flavio
Paul Whiffin
Yes i am bunging it in the next few days or so before I go, can't wait to get it tuned in properly at last. I'm only going to use it for tuning and track days so I wont be mounting it properly.
