Adam_SG
Locked my car and now it wont open???? The light on the keyfob is still coming on but the battery might be on its way out, unfortunately i cant get the bloody key fob open to replace the battery, and the manual doesn't tell me how to do it either. Anyone got any ideas as i dont really want to break it and have to buy a new alarm. Cheers And a happy christmas Adam. Oh and does any other poor sucker have to work tomorrow? Andrew Dunk Shaw
Had the same problem with mine and the key fob is a bitch to get open, almost impossible to get it open without damageing the edges of the plastic !! Wide blade screwdriver and prize the two pieces apart. Yep back at wrk on saturday to finish off my supra parts.

Bobbeh
Yeah, I replaced my fob because the leather strap was so worn. Came apart easily enough but you're right about how easily it scratches!
suprarob
Adam I had this problem If you press the button for about 15 seconds and pointed at your dash the alarm will reset as a matter of general maintenance toyota suggest the battery should be replaced every 9000 miles hope this helps
rayg
Hi Adam, proberly is the battery but I once had a problem getting in and all that had happened, was the small slide on the side of the key fob. Must have moved in my pocket. Try to slide it the other way an hey presto...........I stood outside my car for 10 minutes in the rain.......something you don't forget.........Merry Christmas..... Adam_SG
Hi guys, Well i replaced the key fob battery and hey presto!!!!! my alarm is working again. Just aswell as i had to do my brake pads today. My rear caliper pins were knackered and i had to fix em as they were bent at the end. But back to good breaking again. Happy Crimbo and new year. Ad.
