penguin
Was waiting for that to appear and i completely agree, they say they are at war with us so whats good for one. I think the Times is running a story on the extremists asking for their followers to seek out MP's. Our country would be better for everyone, muslims included, if we were shot of them think you'll find "extremists" are more about action and less about democratic process

penguin
you do not see the jewish, sikh or buddist communities demanding that we follow their rules. israel is pushing for this law to be changed.... ask yourself - why would one state want the laws of another state to be changed? are you going to get off your soapbox now that you realise it's not "muslims" who are "getting their way" ? Get rid of captain hook - Muslims don't tolerate this guy or his message... Precisely for this very reason it's important to keep this law as it is... People can get warrants to have this type of scum sent back or arrested at the airport.

Then why didn't Muslims ask for him to be arrested? Why is this law seemingly only to be used against those who are opposed to Islam? By your earlier posts this would suggest anyone attached to the Israel state or President Bush / Tony Blair etc?

He was arrested and his arrest was supported by Islamic forums... How is this law being used against those "who are opposed to Islam"?? It's a law which allows ANYONE the right to present strong evidence and have a visitor trying to enter the UK arrested... I don't get why that's so difficult to understand
ivan
So basically what you're asking for is the power for any group of nutters (whatever religion) who objects to a visit by (for example) George Bush to go to a sympathetic Magistrate and block that official visit? P!$$ off.

So, this man was preaching his anti British / anti lots of stuff rhetoric amongst the Muslim community and so I suppose his arrest and convicttion was due to him being reported by the Muslim community using the same law you wish to see upheld? Or is that a different law for others than for him?

This law if unchanged can be used to stop the likes of this guy from entering the UK to spread his hate speech IF people get off their arse and get warrants... That can be the Muslim community, the Jewish community - whatever.
MaveriK
this guy is obviously a bad example (picked by maverick) Sorry, he was the first that popped into my head. I understand your point of view about this but IMO i would think cleaning house at home would be a better course of action. I dont really mind if people visit here for a short period, what i do mind is people living here who preach hate or follow preachers of hate and yet happily bleed our state benifit system dry. What i dont want you to think is that this is levelled purely at muslim extremists, it should be applied to any bunch of Anti UK fools
jonathanc
What i dont want you to think is that this is levelled purely at muslim extremists, it should be applied to any bunch of Anti UK fools Exactly. What I don't understand is if they hate UK and its citizen so much why remain here? As for the picture you've shown, I did some Googling and apparently he has won a court case to let him stay (which was funded by the taxpayer's money but that's another story)... Why want to stay if you don't like it? The mind boggles... On topic : I would like the OP to define "War criminal". If for example, G. Bush is a war criminal he would've been trialled in a court of law. I think it's only you that's branding him a "war criminal" in this context but I could've been mistaken. However I must say I am not pro Bush or anything like that. I just think there are other far more important group of people that needs to be dealth with first. Good luck with your petition though, I am sure in a way it is making a difference.
