caseys
Just did my last nightshift, ever!! Over 6 years on a 7day on/off pattern Start my new Mon-Fri job on Tuesday, delighted Its nothing exciting i'm afraid just IT support but i'm looking forward to the change after 10yrs. Anyone else scored a new job lately? Sounds familiar. I was a computer Operator for 5 years (7pm-7am or 7am-7pm shifts) and remember in the winter sometimes I wouldn't see daylight at all for 2 weeks. They also say that shift workers generally have a shorter life expectancy (though many of our weekend shifts consisted of some work / some sleep) I bet now you'll find the 9-5 weird, the days will seem so short - it'll be going home time when you think it's lunch, but then the weird lack of free days (but you spend less money I then found...). Congrats What sort of field of support Kris?

It's not bad but wish I have a more normal work time. Grats on your new job though

paulrenn
Couldn't do shift work, but in IT development I tend to pull a lot of late nights and weekends. Just scored a new contract in Berlin, which is nice
