Kirk
Just been for a drive out to a friends house and started off at half a tank, i drove at normal speeds until i got caught in a jam. At this point my fuel needle is still on half a tank. Finaly the traffic clears and we start moving again and as soon as i moved the needle moved 2 notches below where it stayed until i got on a 40 road. At this point it began to rise to the half a tank again (wasnt on a hill). It continued to do this for the rest of the journey and on the way home and now it has stopped again at 2 notches below half. I dont actualy know how much fuel i realy have! Anyone else's do this? Havard
They do fluctuate a bit on hills. The main problem with mine is if I hoon a bit it goes down and doesn't come up unless I put some fuel in.... H.
JamieP
Not as bad as my audi, i ran out of petrol twice now when the trip computer told me i had 30miles in the tank.
Steve A
mine does this as well its up and down all over the place, i just wait for the orange light to come on and use that as time to fill up
Sakey
Mine tended to drop in chunks. It stayed at half a tank and then dropped like a stone in a couple of miles stoping around the 1/4 tank mark.
stevie_b
The first 50 miles is free. The last half of the tank is bloody expensive.
Scott
Exactly the same as Stevie above. First 1/4 of a tank is good for about 100 miles, maybe just under. The next 1/4 is good for 50 and the last half is good for 80 lol.
juanchan
Best I've had was 120 for the top quarter, 90 for the second quarter and 150 for the last half. Cruise control FTW on long journeys!
Scott
UK specs have a bigger tank though
Lbm
Ah yes, Fuel Gauge Russian Roulette. The little orange light tells me to head towards a fuel station. Call me old fashioned. Although sometimes I may defy the light. I mean just a few more miles wouldn't hurt, right? Then we get home. And start all over again the next day...I'll just nip past this garage, after all, there is one on my side of the road...in 6 miles etc.
RobD
With mine as soon as it's dropped below half tank it seems to take s nose dive! When coming back through country roads I went passed a petrol station with just under quarter tank, I didn't realise the next petrol station was half hour away, the needle was touching the "E" by the time I got there
juanchan
What is the difference in tank size? 80 litres for UK and 70 for import rings a bell. I've done 20 miles with the orange light on, and I still only squeezed just shy of 70 litres into it.
