Rear lights

Does anyone know where I can get a set of facelift rear lights but with the grey/silver bit in black instead?

You can't buy that, prefacelift came with black insert only, facelift came with the dark grey insert only.. So your only option really is to prise some facelift rears apart and paint the insert.

 

IMO the facelift rears with the grey insert look amazing on any colour car though, so I don't see the point

Yeah I agree they do look good on any car but I just want mine to look a bit different. Is the grey insert stuck to the lense or not? My car is black and I would like it to be the same colour as the car.

if they are inserts scuck on to the light you should be able to remover them and spray them yourself, in fact speak to Heckler he pulls lights apart and makes them into LED units all the time he may be able to give you a load of good info

I have just got normal rear lights ATM,I'm asking firstly if anyone makes facelift style rears in black instead of grey,they don't. And secondly can a set of facelifts be modified to give that look.I hope so

I'm pretty sure the inserts do separate, as members have painted and also carbon wrapped the facelift inserts.

Playing about with this stuff a little was looking at an old broken facelift style light and heres the outcome.

once the lights are apart anything is possible colour wise but be careful taking them apart dude

I've just bought some lenses from Blueangel (Thanks ) and will be taking my facelift lights apart in the near future. Not decided what i'm doing with them exactly, but was thinking clear indicators, and spraying the grey surround in either gloss black or wrinkle black.
