AlexJames
I have an Aprilia RS125 motorbike and the gears are playing up... I think... I know only a very little about the whole gear linkage system so its hard for me to diagnose the problem myself. When going up through the transmission it sometimes slips out of gear. Its also very very hard to slip it into lower gears when say, pulling up to traffic lights. This to me ,in my very limited knowledge, would suggest a clutch problem? is that right? Swampy442
This is a Toyota Supra forum not one for 125 chicken chasers If its jumping out of gears Id say its a gearbox problem. What sort of mileage?
pistonbroke
Jumping out of gears could be that the linkage needs adjusting. The hard shifts could be that the clutch cable needs adjusting.

I thought linkage first but surely it would jump out of all gears and be stiff to engage all the time then?
AlexJames
I think it jumps out of gears because it dosent get into gear properley. Trying to put it into first or going down the gear box is a nightmare. I have to match the revs allot to try and get the gears home... would that suggest clutch? Swampy442
Its worth a go, but jumping out of gear isnt a clutch symptom. Whats the oil like? Get it to a specialist mate.
