Samurai 20V
Cool! I saw the Technical Centre. Had a quick envious though towards it as I would think some exciting things happen there. Well at least back when the Supra was being deveoped ;-) I also saw a tricked out silver supra driving past the entrance to the bus parking. Didn't get a pic though.. Do you know that one? It was the only two supras I saw in the whole three weeks around Japan. Saw lots of RX-7's, Skylines and so. Have all the j-specs gone to the UK and Scandinavia? I didn't take to the heated seats. They kept making me think someone just sat there for ages... There is so much going on in Technical Centre its unbelievable... Not much in the way of performance cars though... There are few tricked out Supras around here, I think I do know that one, it has no rear spoiler right? I see like maybe 2 per day, with a few repeats...The cars are getting scarce in Japan. As they get older, the MOT gets more expensive here. I have been looking for one for 4 months now... The technology here is crazy, my house is filled with so many little gadgets and stuff...heck I can answer my intercom at the front door while taking a bath! Samurai 20V
As a side note, I think the factory tour (which I wasn't allowed to document) wasn't the best. VW does a better one in Wolfsburg, DE. One thing though; when these japanese guys are assembling cars they constantly play some weird versions of classic rock and pop songs. However, these versions are made with beep-beep sounds. Just lika an old Atari or console game from the mid 80'ies. Really, really weird. I almost went insane for the hour i spend there. How they handle it day in, day out is a mystery to me... They have some really weird habits, after a while you tend to block it out...Part of their nature/culture I suppose..

Whats up with the insanely noisy gaming arcades jammed with suit wearing people playing with buckets full of metal balls. Too strange.. But not as strange as the gaming centers with the "big claw games". Back here you would catch a cell phone or something. But in these places you catch a bag of chips or maybe some deturgent.. "Woo-f%&ing-hoo! I wan some dish wasing liquid"... I don't get it - Don't remember if it had a rear spoiler. Just got a glimpse.

The game centre is the Pachinko...So its a popular spot after work, its Japans method of gambling, after they win more balls they can claim prizes, then go around the corner and trade it for cash... Dont get these things either... Did you go to Osaka? Universal Studios Japan is off the hook...
bodilx6
Yep, went to Osaka and stopped by Universal more or less by chance as we were in the Aquarium on the other side of the harbour. Oh...My...God... there were so many people it was insane! Now, i've been to Universal in both Florida and California but that was just deserted compared to this... And many people there were dressed up for halloween for some reason (well, other than it being halloween i guess). I stick to my claim; people in Japan are weeeeird :-D
