Quad rotor 26b.

Or the LF-A V10.

The 26b was in my favourite car on GT3/GT4 iirc :) In the game it was far more reliable...

I dread to think the list price of buying a separate LF-A V10 from the parts department. iirc the AM V12 engine + ECU was £6000ish.

True, but the OP himself has mentioned the words '3.4-litre stroker' so I'm guessing 'different' in his case means 'money no object'.

Gazoo Racing have an IS-F with an LF-A engine in it... would probably cost between £50k-£100k to get it working in a Supra but there wouldn't be a better sounding Supra on earth.

Twin charged TT lump (turbo and supercharged)

As Dude said before, LPG seems like a good solution for a single turbo. The system would cost similar to a high spec petrol fuel system for a well spec'd single, and systems capable of supporting huge power are readily available (for truck engines etc)

Higher octane than petrol, and running costs almost halved.

A real wildcard would be an S2000 engine and running gear, but not much torque to shove a hefty Supra around, however 9000rpm as stock and an easy to install 400hp supercharger conversion would be pretty cool, while shedding much weight from the front.

Some of the newer Toyota V6s come with over 300hp as standard, although they all run on auto boxes IIRC, and getting a conversion to suit a popular manual gearbox may be prohibitively expensive.

My friend who used to work for MB had a warranty job to do on an AMG V12, the list price on the engine was more than double £6k IIRC.

They do have a few spare F1 engines sat around in storage at Milton Keynes apparently though :eyebrows:
