rassu69
oh im sorry i must have completley the wrong idea, yes, i have heard of pms, and emails. but in all the other for sale threads people usually have the decency to post that they have pm'd, or shown an interest for others to see, or upon reciveing a pm the seller posts that the item is provisionaly sold. rassu69
fair enough, no harm alerting potential buyers after youve sent the pm tho, after all, once youve sent it its in there regardless of how much attention you attract afterwards. whats the point of the for sale section being in a tread format if all communications between buyers/ sellers is done via pms? not annoyed that i wont be getting it, just annoyed that i wasted my time even trying

Havard
What takes precendence then, thread or pm. Jurgen got a similar result yesterday after publically claiming an item, he was then told that someone pm'd earlier that day.... IMO the thread is all up front and therefore a much fairer system if you ask me. If you don't ask me, you'll probably get my opinion anyway..... H. Havard
I am not taking sides but this is the second day on the trot where a sale has been completed while the thread was still live and people expressed their intentions to buy. I bought an RSR exhaust this week off Baileyjdm and the sale went well. If I had committed myself in the thread and then found out that someone had pm'd him without stating it on the thread then I would have been pretty upset. I think we need some ground rules and I would suggest that even if you are going to pm, you should state that in a post first. It then shows that you had first dibbs of a fashion... H. rassu69
someone suggested I might be able to get one somewhere else, so i'll jst try that instead. sorry if i got a bit carried away over the whole thing think its best if i just foget about it. Elmo
I don't think it matters if a sale is concluded via PM or thread, it's first come first served, and at the end of the day it's down to the sellers discretion whom he chooses to sell to. If I inform a seller that I wish to buy his item, and he then informs me that the item is sold (even if the thread does not indicate), I'm not going to get upset about it, it's sold and I'll look elsewhere. rassu69
a decat is easy enough to find, its more of the principle of the matter you click on the advert, and it provides you with a box to reply to the advert in, well thats what i thought, maybe this box should be removed a replaced with a sned a message button? like i said how was i supposed to know i shudda just pm'd the guy. maybe you should write a how to buy in the newcomers section.
