SUPRALOOPY
I also live in Liverpool on a very quiet estate lol,but I'm still worried someone will break into our cars. There is only one main road into the estate and I've seen a few suspicious fellows driving past a couple of times in their bangers eyeing up my Supra and the wifes Corolla TSport. What are the legalities involved with CCTV on your property as I'm contemplating installing it on mine. Also ,would it be worthwhile? your ok as long as its not pointing into your neighbours window if you know what i mean.. i have three one for the front, side and driveway all running threw a pc server in the loft so if they get in i still have the evidance

Tricky
my lil bros Girl friend works in a cafe, a woman had her bag stolen from the cafe about 3weeks ago the police were called within 5mins and they said we are sending someone strait over! they still havnt been yet! worst thing about it is that the police station is litteraly and i meen literaly 50yards away from the cafe! they couldnt even be botherd to walk across the road! and tony blare wonders why the youth of today are out of controle! its because hes to busy thinking of new ways to spy on us all, like fitting black box recorders to our cars so he knows where we are, when, and which speed and time we are traveling at! its a joke! to quote pulp fiction "these fuckers should learn, you just dont fuck with another mans automobile!" sorry to hear about it hope by some quirk of fate they catch them! JohnA
.What are the legalities involved with CCTV on your property as I'm contemplating installing it on mine. Also ,would it be worthwhile? bit sketchy on the legalities --- or how the local cops might try to interpret their guidelines. I had a concealed camera hooked to a motion detector and video, pointing at my car+bike (private land) As it happens it caught great facial pics of two scumbags trying to break into my neighbour's A3RS (3am) They left, and came back next day, broke into the house and got the car keys. (afternoon, his son was in the house and heard nothing!) I checked my tape, and found the thieves from the night before. I gave him a copy (reluctantly, because it would betray the location/existance of my camera) The cops suddenly wanted to interview me, because I had no licence from the council to CCTV the private parking lot. Apparently I violated the human rights of the robbers, because I did not first get their permission to record them. Seriously. I made my self sparse (i.e. never talked to them, I never answer the door anyway) and considered this a lesson learnt. As for my neighbour, they flatly refused to see the footage as evidence against the thieves, rather as grounds to try and prosecute me (they thought I'd be an easy target, with address known, etc ) Food for thought. Kopite
human rights of robbers? in my rule book they don't have any, they forfeited them when they violated my right that really sucks John, im shocked at that! so if i don't give speed cameras the right to record me, why can they prosecute me? or is there a clause somewhere sayin if it's government related then different rules apply? I suppose it's no wonder this country is turning into a society of people who only care about themselves and have total disrespect for others and their property. :thumbdown
