bondango
I know Bijal has been doing a lot of UK e85 tuning, and this goes to show what sort of power can be had on this go go juice. I was chatting with him recently about running one of these hks T62R's as he's one of the few with these elusive turbos. he said he was tuning a supra with one...and heres the outcome ..great power at 2bar me thinks zPcDG4B1Hg8

jagman
1100bhp at the wheels with the stock intake plenum? whats the flywheel number? Why do you think the plenum restricts flow ? In terms of pressure, velocity, flow and turbulence?
JamieP
Sounds VERY laggy, only just gets on full boost and then hits the rev limiter, i dont mind a bit of lag but thats to far.
Josh
The video stopped half way through a even though it was fulley loaded. Sounds good nonetheless

Guigsy
Why do you think the plenum restricts flow ? In terms of pressure, velocity, flow and turbulence? couldnt say. just you dont see many 1000bhp cars with stock ones.
davej705
couldnt say. just you dont see many 1000bhp cars with stock ones. it would probably flow alot better with one though wouldnt it?

Nic
Couple of dyno plots from the HKS website for the T62R and T51R on a 3.4L 2JZ-GTE with 272 cams, doesn't say what boost that was at. http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/turbo/hanyo/t62r/t62r.html http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/turbo/hanyo/t62r/img/t62r_bb_graph01.gif http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/turbo/hanyo/t62r/img/t62r_bb_graph02.gif
Lee P
That turbo is rated at 1200hp (flywheel) so its bang on really, nice bit of kit. They were a limited run and are no longer available from HKS. The stock plenum will run that power but an aftermarket one would improve it. Scott
1000rwhp = 1142fwhp? That doesn't seem right to me.
TLicense
Why's that? 12 - 15% losses sound about right.
dude
Why is everyone raving about a turbo that laggy that only produces 1200hp:blink: The 76 DBB Billets JP and I have are rated to 1250hp and are not really that laggy at all. Billet turbos in Australia can do you a turbo that will produce 2400hp;) http://www.billetturbochargers.com/About_Billet.ews

Scott
Why's that? 12 - 15% losses sound about right. I always took 15% as the bare minimum for a manual, more like 15-17%. I guess we will find out soon from AFR
