terribleturner
what time can we first get through the gates? The Gates will be opened at 10am and someone will be there for the first 2 hours. The gates will then be locked and there will be a sign on it with 2 telephone numbers. call the a number and someone will come and get you. whats the latest time we can get through the gates by? As above, they will get locked, but can be opened on request. how much to spectate ? Free how much to compete? £20, this will cover everything and anything. If you wanna have a go at just the track or just the 1/4 mile then that's cool. But if you then get tempted by the other then you can do that as well. can we come and go as required? Yea, but it will require the gates being unlocked for you. May leave them open from a certain time. toilets and food onsite? Robace who is a chef by trade will be BBQing food all day. Will unfortunatly will be charging for food and drink to help with the cost of the day, but we are talking less than McDonald prices. how many 'friends' can we bring in? 5 i think would be tops. If you want to bring more then please PM or Email and i'll get back to you. do the friends have to come in with us or can they come later? Ideally they would come with you. If not then if you can supply their reg numbers that's good too. will there be a driver briefing? There will hopefully be some sort of briefing. Unfortunatly things are changing quite a bit at the moment and so more details will be given on the day.

scooby_doo_do
mine went in the garage today as it had the heating issue back... Its odd.... i can drive at 70/80mph for miles and miles..then when i push it hard for 5 secs+ the temp guage starts to go up... Getting the system flushed and preasure tested to hopefully find the issue and get it fixed.... As its only done it since its last service. So i'll still definalty be there.. Car runnning or not. TLicense
from my epxerience that's usually a sign of either a dodgy rad cap, or a cracked rad. (End tanks are plastic and they crack over time)

Cheers I'm waiting to hear back from one guy today, but if he says no then i'm afraid not The original guy has his Daughters wedding and everyone else doesn't seem it'll be worth their while to come down. I'll put a post up later when i hear back but i wouldn't want to put money on it.

hadyn
So, just to confirm then, we wont have a 1/4 mile now, but will be able to test 0-60s, 0-100s and do 1/8s of miles etc? The track is still all good though isnt it?
scooby_doo_do
Don't say that..... I've just had a new rad/thermostat/oil change..Because of this :-)

Homer
I think the track and 1/4 mile are off. I'm in the same situation, spent a fair bit of cash (almost £1k) getting bits fitted ready for the 1/4 mile, but now its not going to happen... bit gutted really. At least we should still get a go at 0-60, 0-100 and 1/8 mile times. I don't expect good times from the people with stocks and 6 speeds though! At least the 'meet' side of things looks very promising. It'll be great to finally say hello to so many members of the board - and to see some of the big power cars run! terribleturner
The track is still ON. I've had to concentrate more with the the 1/4 stuff but the track is still gonna happen and is ready and waiting for all that dare The 1/4 mile itself will not be happening, but as with Santa Pod, everything else that is measured on the day will be. We will probably make a bigger deal about head to head drag offs now too. This can be anything from 2 cars up at the same time.
IanK
Can we have the 2 car duels timed for 0-60 etc too or would that require two sets of timing gear? If so, i don't think it not being a 1/4 is that big a deal. Just had my drag tyres fitted and removed everthing from the boot & the also removed the back seats! Be good to meet you all tomorrow, lets hope the weather holds out, looks like we should be ok tomorrow fingers crossed.
Whitelightning
Personally i don't really care for the 1/4 mile etc. I am happy to meet like minded people in Supras. See you all there
