Turbos Change - Additional Work

Do you know the part number for this Nic?

I assume the engine gasket kit includes all the turbo parts too?

The engine kit doesn't include the turbo parts, it includes everything shown on the 1st pic above, 2nd pic shows the head kit (this can also be seen in 1st pic inside the box at the top) and 3rd pic is just a bigger view of the bottom half of the engine kit.

Sorry I don't have the EPC on this machine, but sure someone else can post part number for the turbo gasket kit.

Hmm. I never knew that. Hopefully I wont need any additional gaskets as I will get the turbos refurbished. Still a parts list would be handy.

Just received this from Toyota which might help you guys. I couldn't work out which gaskets I need still. My water and oil hard pipes are in good condition so not bothering to change these out. Also leaving the manifold to head gasket as this seems fine too. The mechanic mentioned the oil and water pipe gaskets so I've just sent these diagrams to him so he can point out which ones I need to buy.

EDIT: These pics are for a JDM Supra 6sp TT

i just had mine done by cr stage 3 so needed ecu,650cc,injectors,boost controler to make the most of them, the oil and water gasgets come with the turbos back from cr, make sure when you send the off you dont leave the manifold studs in as you might not get them back as i didnt which done me right up when refitting,

getting turbos done by a garrage is around £700 off and on

thats why i done them my self thought well if i get stuck i can just pay the money then.

if you do it your self you will also need a swear jar and some plasters owh yeah and every extention bar you have as needs to be about 2ft long if not longer

good luck with it all

Turbo guy said one of the tubbys has a small crack near the wastegate but nothing to worry about. Said the turbo will still last for years and performance will not be affected.

Very common, it's rarer to find one without a crack around the wastegate.

Just to let you know, 2 of the part numbers you have on your list are incorrect. See corrections below. Ordered the right parts from Toyota so another short wait for them to arrive in stock.

  • 2 weeks later...

To finalise this thread, I have now got my car back after waiting ages for Toyota to get the correct ones in.

All power is fully restored to all it's glory. Mechanic advised a remap asap to get the car boosting right with the correct fuelling. Car pulls very hard now even better than before. Not drove it too hard yet as I don't want to cause any damage and the turbos still need bedding in.
