warning light

fastcar

Recommended Posts

ok so when acelerating hard past 5000rpm and then letting off the master warning light comes on in the centre of the dash. if i change up or slow the car down the light goes off. Has only been doing it since i went BPU. Im thinking it might be an over fueling issue when i let off the loud pedel.

The cars a 93 J-spec TT.

Has been fully decated NGK Iridium plugs, Walbro fuel pump, Greedy boost controller running 1.2bar and a HKS FCD (not the best i know) Have just changed all the coil pack clips too so dont think they will be an issue.

Dosent seam to be missing or backfireing.

Is this normal or is it somthing to be concerend about.

Thanks in advance

i think it happens when you go too fast,

mine does it at high speeds. when you turn off car its gone, and will only come on at high speeds.

i think its because the cars are restricted initially, then the de-restrictors mess the signal up.

i think.

you can check the diagnostics to check what fault it is, im goin to do it next time

Thanks fellas

I will check the brake fluid tonight but not sure that will be the problem. As I have just had the car serviced by mr T and the brake fluid was drained and refilled. It was doing it before servicem too. But will check it. It did cross my mind last night but was a bit late for climbing under the bonnet.

Is that the only light that comes on, or does the engine management light come on too?

Have you checked the error codes yet? Might be the code 42 no. 1 Speed Sensor. Has it been derestricted and I'm assuming its had a speedo convertor on there?

Check fluid levels first though.

I think that's the only light coming on haven't noticed the engine mangment light coming will have to check. Speedo has been converted and the is fully destricted. Will check fluids all good then will get it plug in to see if there is any error codes on the ECU.

Does the orange engine light come on when you turn the ignition to position 2 (i.e. just before cranking)? If not either the bulb is blown or the circuit board has a dry solder. Without the orange light, you'll just be guessing what the problem is. A good guess is the brake fluid level as already suggested: the other is a speed sensor error (although your symptoms don't sound like that).

Yep the light definitely comes on when ignition is in position two nothing wrong with bulb. Went for a quick spin last night and couldn't get it to do it no matter how hard I tried. Will leave it till the weekend and give it another go and see it the engine management light comes on. It difficult as it doesn't allays do it
