I have, reluctantly, grown up and started to let my head rule my heart and decided that the time has come for the Supe and I to go our separate ways. There are a few reasons for this:

I can’t justify having a money pit any more since jacking in a well paid job to join the Army.

I’m not enjoying her any more as she just gets used to ferry my kit back from camp once a month and the odd trip to Tesco.

Now I’m living in barracks I don’t have the facilities to give her the care she deserves, such as a weekly wash etc.

She has approximately 69000 miles / 111000 km on the clock (still counts up in km) and drives very well.

Taxed until end of April 2011

MOT until October 2011

Oil and filter changed October 2010

A bit of back history:

The car was purchased in November 2004, with approximately 48500 miles / 78500 km on the odo. From then until the end of last year it was only used for pleasure as I had a works van, and since then it has only been used for making the trip from camp to home up the motorway once a month or so and the odd trip to the shops. Hence the low amount of miles I have put on it, the majority of which are motorway miles.

Throughout my ownership, I have done pretty much all the work on her (with help from my dad) and done my own regular servicing, hence there is very little service history.

Anyway, down to the details:

Also Included:

Toyota Workshop Manual that CJ was selling a while back

2nd Cat (for MOT time)

Lots of receipts and previous MOT certificates

Bad Points:

ODO turns off when the lights are turned on

Speedo needle sometimes sticks (just needs a sharp tap to un-stick it)

‘Overdrive Off’ light doesn’t work.

Dash looking a bit tired with a few scratches etc and one of the screws has pulled through.

The plastic panels in the boot are cracked

The tool kit is not complete

As mentioned, the EGT sensor probe still needs plumbing in and is cable tied up in the engine bay.

The AFR gauge reads slightly lean on idle, but is fine on cruise and WOT

Crazed lacquer on spat

Minor Niggles:

The glow wire used when I did the blue light conversion seems to be on its way out, so the temperature dial is not very visible at night.

Home made battery clamp as the stock one wouldn’t fit the battery I have.

Logos on mats are disappearing on the driver and passenger sides and there is a burn where some solder was dripped onto the driver’s side.

The decimal point does not light up on the AFR gauge

One of the rear speakers crackles a bit with very low notes

Looking for offers around £7,500 £7,000 £5,500

The car is in the Banbury / Warwick area usually.

Please note I only have access to the internet at night, so it may take a while to answer any questions, but I will answer eventually.

Thanks for looking.

Another bump and BIG price reduction!

After a month or so of continuous financial ball-aches, I really could do with getting rid of the old girl now so am prepared to take a bit of a hit on the price.

I know I couldn't have picked a worse time time to sell but hopefully this is enough of a bargain to tempt someone :)

So I'll now take £5.5k for her.

That took a while didn't it (I swear that's been up for sale for quite some time on Pistonheads - correct me if I'm wrong and it's something very similar looking in a very similar location).

Congrats. :)

It was on Piston Heads for about a month I think, but I never got any interest so never renewed the advert!

who bought it?

A member on here called Sadark, don't think he's posted much, if at all, but it's still in the club. Seemed like a nice bloke, knew his stuff and looks like he's going look after it. :)
