francis
Hi there guys, I'm currently in Mannheim, Germany visiting my girlfriend. Already been to the Hockenheimring and seen some Porsche series racing! Am heading back to the UK on Wednesday to Dunkirk and looking on the map, the Nurburgring is directly on the way back - it'd be rude not to! The only downer is I'm in the Smart car LOL but feel like calling by and maybe doing a lap none the less! I've had a look at their website and it seems you pay 22 euros for a lap, but at the check out it all goes to German! Does anyone know how it works? Do you get a time slot or just turn up? Do you have to queue (as obviously I'll have a ferry to catch!). Any good places nearby worth visiting? Cheers! Francis
scotty71
get some incar footage of the "SMART" lap as to how the Ring works havent a clue just seen a few crashes on there on YT so take it steady lol
AJI
Just turn up, get a lap ticket and go through the barrier (well wait for it to open after you've put your ticket in that is!). Simple as that. Bear in mind though that the track is not open every day for 'tourst laps'....it is often closed for pre-booked events like manufacture/team test days etc.

Take your credit card just incase you smash the barriers.

Ark
We saw some 2CVs going round last year - if they can get round without blowing up, a Smart should have it easy!
francis
Thanks guys! Don't think I'll be pushing the limits in the smart car, just want to experience the track and get the sticker before I take the Supra around in the summer! Is there usually much of a queue to get on the ring? Just concerned I might miss my ferry if I'm there for too long!

If not the get a few extra laps in
