wallis
Just about to order an aftermarket plenum which allows u to use the stock throttle body with it. By using the stock TB with the new plenum will it really give me any more bhp than stock and what other work am i going to create by changing it from stock. I have read im going to increase airflow with the new plenum by 20% but would this increase include fitting a bigger TB as well with it? Also i have gone single so i dont care about the tt aspects of changing from stock plenums. Any advise would be great cheers, m
sdistc
Why bother changing stock intake manifold at all? It's proven on 1000hp Supras (albeit in the US), but at the very least is only a restriction past 700 or so hp. Are you planning to make big numbers? Nic
With a GT30R I really wouldn't bother, I'd save your money or spend it elsewhere.

Steve
I am still on the stock plenum and throttle body with around 700bhp, I am changing to some bigger cams and more boost soon and will still be sticking with the stock intakes. Nic
One thing you should think about is traction, the GT30R will spin up VERY quickly, some decent rubber and a decent suspension setup will be a must. Racelogic Traction Control would also be a good investment.

Racelogic Traction Control would also be a good investment. Ive got tein flex fully adjustables, so im good with suspension. I was running 295 proxy's t1's on the rears, but just bought some new 19" jade rs wheels with new falken 452's which are 275 30's so should be good there also mate. I looked into the racelogic TC defo something i will be looking into getting next year with me having an auto;) Thx again for the advise mate im hopefully having steves old 264 cams if i can get them fitted before its mapped.
