The-Plethora
Both of the Corsair ones got good reviews I seem to recall. The other two got quite toasty, but if nice and quiet is your thing they may still be worth a look. What is your main purpose for the water cooling? are you after something that is quieter than a CPU fan or do you want to overclock a bit also? Scott
H70 all day long. Do these run on meth?

DamanC
Hold Fire! Cool it are set to release a duel push/pull solution in the next couple of weeks. Have you considered the ALC 240? 240mm Rad Out the 4 you have listed, we have had best results from the H70. The H50 is OK too. Still not as good as a proper water cooling system or a top of the range air cooler.

Why not think of a full liquid cooled solution? Meaning CPU, RAM and GPU gets liquid cooled too. Tricky to set up but once running its sweet! Plus you get to play with a proper "intercooler" too Did I also mention you can get really cool looking coolant that glows with UV rays too? I am only running a fan setup on my main PC at the moment because it keeps me warm during winter. I am definitely thinking of a full liquid cooled solution in the future though and it is quieter and I can do without the heat in this room during summer... a98pmalcolm
Have you considered the ALC 240? 240mm Rad Hi mate yer i have looked at this coolent system but i havent a clue were its goin to fit in my tower lol... I have the Antec 900. Only place it will possiably is flat across the top: http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/2497/20101023003.jpg And id have to let the Rad hang somehow? Would be ideal as the big exhast fan will be pulling even more air from the rad so any ideas? I havent seen the new coolit systems that are due to come out. Any good? Yer there pretty "cool" lol.. but i like my tower and i would have to get a bigger tower for it all to fit...
Blackie
You're joking me?? You can get water cooled computers?
a98pmalcolm
You're joking me?? You can get water cooled computers? LOL can better that... theres been recent development of "mineral oil" cooled pcs when you fill the tower with mineral oil lol, still early days with all this but you can buy the kits now: http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/2923/submerged002.jpg http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/2663/submerged019.jpg

jonathanc
I have the Antec 900 too with the Asus Rampage mobo. I have to say the 900 is made for air cooling. Really good air flow. If you would consider upgrading case in the future I would recommend the 900s big bro... the Antec 1200. I am using the CoolerMaster ATCS (Active Thermal Cooling System lulz) 840 on the main PC as I am considering water cooling in the future. Plenty of space inside this beast! caseys
Freon or liquid N ftw! Next home computers will get plumbing and huge cooling circuits in the loft or such. Cool you intake as much as possible and exhaust as much too, rather than increase material in the case which partially draws heat. Just like a car I guess Saying that cooling / heat exchange like this is coming back to the big kit.

Just watched a review on the CM ATCS case. Looks a brilliant case mate! You have 2 comps then? one antec 900 and the ATCS? lol
creative
I will be looking at watercooling my tower when I get it over here. I'm into my clocking and currently running 3.8Ghz on stock cooling with my dual core. Temps are a bit high at that speed tho,

You have 2 comps then? one antec 900 and the ATCS? lol Well actually I have around 3 desktops and 2 servers.... I am very attached to my PCs I don't junk them unless they die Buck stops with the ATCS though - finance really tight lately can't afford new toys However, it's still pretty good specced considering I built it almost a year ago! It's pretty easy to build now with all the new kits. If you want serious stable OCs imo water cooling is the way forward. However, like a single conversion, you gotta do it right! So saving up to get all the bits. I fondly remember last winter how I connected a hose/pipe to the side intake of my PC with the other end sticking out of the window. I was freezing in the room but hey it kept the temps down!

TonytotheB
I had the original H50-1. I believe there is a new H60 with push-pull fans. I would recommend it. Cooled my i7 920 @ 4.00GHz very well
DamanC
The 900 with a real WC setup is not pretty! You can mount the rads to the outside rear of the case. Stick an H70 in there and be done with it
imi
Question - why does the CPU get so hot that you need water cooled systems to keep them in check; are you overclocking the CPU?

Thorin
I have to say knowing what I do now I'd go with a good air-cooled heatsink/fan unless you're going with a proper water cooled setup.
shima60
I Run the H70 and i love it overclocked 1ghz extra and still running a nice cool 35c goes to 50c under high load lol.

Stick an H70 in there and be done with it yer mounting it on the out side will look all messy.. i did consider it. So why the H70 Over the coolit Vantage system? With the coolit system the fan speed can be adjusted.... Just getting more knolage on them.... not that i wouldnt take your professional advise. And yes your correct i have overclocked and if i upgrade my ram next year i will clocking that lil bit more.... And regarding a good air cooled system i did look at the CM V10 but thats ALOT of weight on the board unlike the water cool systems are nice and light there! DamanC
The Vantage allows you to set in 3 modes. Quiet, normal and extreme - This makes F all difference as the pump and fan are regulated by the temperature of the coolant which will stay around 40oC when under load. You have to switch CPU Fan monitoring off too - I.E. PWM. The H70 will out perform a vantage slightly too. Dont get me wrong, all Coolit and Corsair self contained WC systems are great and will out perform a mid range cooler every time. The CM V10's and V8's are daft! Take a lookie at the Noctua high end coolers if you go the air route
