SimonB
To be honest. Money no object it could be an interesting bit of fun. It would all swing on how good the regulator was in relation to the revs of the engine. The theory is sound enough but it would take FAR more to get it working efficiently and safely than a set of A4 instructions, a compressor, a tank and a regulator. The theory is sound? Please tell me you are joking here! Let's see, a 3L engine at 6000rpm say at atmospheric pressure (i.e. no boost) is going to use something like 150litres of air per second. So how much difference do you think a diddy air tank is going to make? Or a piddly compressor which is going to take minutes to move that much air? It's total bollocks I'm afraid, you'd be better off running a hose into the car and blowing down it...

Jay already covered that part with his 'minor' exageration. Regardless.. I'm not sure of an N/A's Vacuum pressures so I'll just guess for the moment. If you take the negative pressure of an N/A running at full chat to be -20psi and then push in a positive charge of 25psi you are increasing the density of the air as the pressure is increasing. The difference between a stock N/A and one of these kits on an N/A will be 25psi (if it can be sustained). The overall pressure will only be 5psi, but the difference will make that difference in density of air. Of course the 5psi would be split between the engine and venting out through the air filter depending on the resistance either way... so lets call it 0 Does that not add up for you?
