Sandy-m2
that is a good guide, but how do you get the pistons out? just pump the pedal until they fall out? doesn't seem right to me?
colmcork
When I did mine I had the whole caliper off the car, then used compressed air to get the pistons out. They will both ( j-spec front ) slide out 95% of the way, then one will let go and come out like a bullit:d.( Be very carefull of the fingers here, or in my case the two dogs sleeping within the firing range:taped:). You then need to pull the other one out using some sort of pliers. Hope this helps.

merckx
Ok so i cant get a compressor, is this something i should leave to a garage then? If you're not confident of doing it yourself then don't. You don't normally get any instuctions with a refurb kit. You'll need to inspect the pistons/bores too and the sliders if you have the smaller brakes. I had to replaces 2 pistons on mine as they were pitted. I used a compressor to push out the pistons, use a small block of wood to prevent them shooting out and causing some damage. TLicense
You can just pump them out using the brake pedal. As has been said make sure you have something / someone to hand to catch them so they don't fire out on to your driveway.
