David P
Bulging bonnet. When I have finished the N/A build, I plan to move on and install a supercharger, I will be fitting a charge cooler on top of the engine. Before the time comes and I modify a bonnet from scratch, thought to ask if anyone already had one. Have a U.K. spec bonnet to trade, or not. Also interested to see pics of any bonnets with a big bulge. Thank's.
Purity14
I would be more concerned about getting the supercharger to work, and less about a fancy bonnet

David P
Fizz, I have seen Shane's M90 project, but chosen to use an M112 mounted in a simiar position with a charge cooler on top. Details in my garage.
Chris Wilson
When you say a TT flywheel do you mean a TT auto box flex plate? If so I have a mint used one for sale.
Abz
Wow David, sounds like an awesome project... do create a thread if you can on it.

David P
Chris, I plan to use a TT auto trans, and have bought one from Miguel. This does not have the bell housing or torque convertor. I have been informed that I will need a TT flywheel and bell housing to fit the TT torque convertor? Abz, Just gathering parts at the mo, finishing the N/A build is priority, and will be tinkering with the supercharger build during the winter months. Full current details in 'my garage' will keep it posted. Edited October 24, 2010 by David P (see edit history)

David P
Cheers Nic, that's a 'proper' bulge. What's under it? Will take a search for Jun bonnet.

Nic
I think the bodywork was designed to be as slippery as possible to try to take the Salt Flats speed record, it's all one off stuff. 2JZGTE under there with a monster turbo attached. David P
mitch, "i have a proper bulge too" Don't hide your bulge under a bushell, if it's not rude, post a pic. Nic
I don't know of any off the shelf 'bulging' bonnets for the Supra, most are just the standard profile with vents. The Varis bonnet is probably the pronounced bulge like bonnet http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/7235/picture1pi.png http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/592/picture2jhc.png http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/5919/picture3ba.png http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/3136/picture4wo.png
David P
Nic, Thank's again Barney has mentioned the Chargespeed bonnet, both this and the Varis have a bulge without a bulge in it, and would need further work to lift the centre for charge cooler clearance. Beginning to look like I will need to modify one myself. Could someone photoshop a bonnet with a wider OE scoop please?
