Miguel
Why do you think Steph has blocked part of his FMIC bumper inlet off? An attempt to reduce drag.

JamieP
An attempt to reduce drag. I'm getting the duck tape and cardboard out tomorrow:D 250 is the new 200 mph now Jay Not in the uk, our fastest mile car at prsent is 198mph, fastest mile supra in Europe is 202mph, fingers crossed to take both them titles:eyebrows: Edited October 21, 2010 by JamieP (see edit history)

JamieP
Who built the car, Jamie? SW's car? Boostlogic.
Abz
7.91 in the quarter, 249 in the standing mile (so far). It's arguably the most impressively performing Supra we've ever seen. That is very impressive, they both look so dangerous mean too
Matt H
SW's car? Boostlogic. Well that explains it then. We simply buy their products over here, whereas this car's been built by the people who make the products. The Americas are just so far ahead of us. dandan
Blimey, I didn't realize this was going on...... I'm only about 100miles away at the moment, I wonder if it's too late to book the rental in for a pass
Miguel
I'm sure they'll let you run just for the comedy value:d Get some good pics if you end up going.
dandan
I'll do my best.....it all depends on how much money gets spent tonight and how bad my hangover is! I really wish I had spotted this was happening sooner as I'd have stayed down there for a few days - I'm sure it'll be a great place to be hanging out night and day. Always remember reading about some kids doing Chrysler Neon racing at the drag strip.... plumbed the nitrous in via a tube on the intake and just routed the pipe work in through the window. Race em and then take them back... I forget what the record was but I do remember it did go bang on the way over the line
Jake
I really like the lack of cam cover. errr, the cam covers are on it.
bigbloodyturbo
Why do you think Steph has blocked part of his FMIC bumper inlet off? I think it would probably be to slow flow through the intercooler, at 250mph with a big mouth it probably spills air out the sides and maybe stagnates on the front of the intercooler. Smaller opening with a large orifice would form an expansion chamber infront of the cooler slowing flow and letting it work more efficiently. Just my opinion though, probably wrong. You could do yeah, but it doesn't cover the head Cam Cover = Covers the cams, one on each side Spark Plug Cover = Covers the spark plugs, one down the centre

Kevin Huntley
Some awesome Supra's there, looks like they have put plenty time, effort and $$$ into getting them ready for the event. Interesting to see what tyres they are running, look like slicks to me.... Can't imagine it would be easy to find any tyres rated to 250mph!
