SupraDan24
Hi guys, two small issues with my Supe that i could do with knowing what i need to buy to fix. Firstly, my driver side electric wing mirror when closing makes a loud whirring noise like its encountering resistance then stops half way. The passenger one closes fine and is alot quieter. The fact that is moving at all makes me think thats it not the motor and maybe something else stopping it?? Anyone else have this problem? Secondly, my driver seatbelt stays slack if i lean forward and back again, it doesnt re-tighten itself round my body so is effectively useless. Will i need to replace the whole assembly or is it likely to be just the belt/mechanism that i need to replace? Any helps appreciated before i start buying things i dont need lol. nevins
With the belt get some white grease sprayed on the ratchet mechanism inside the panel and work it a few times, this should free it up, and the drive is more than likely worn in the mirror, easiest thing for that is to replace it unless you want to strip it down and investigate the problem. pistonbroke
My belt was slack like that when I bought the car, it was also frayed along one edge. I got another seatbelt from a breaker on here for £40......job done.
