supralu
Thanks guys. Not sure exactly what spec I want yet, definitely a TT though. Need to do a bit more researching first (and saving). Looking to get one in the first few months of next year.
supralu
Do any of you guys think I could get a decent well looked after TT auto/manual for around £5500-£6000? Not too bothered if it's a uk or jap import. Just don't want to have to keep repairing it. Also I do about 380 miles a month around town., so what sort of fuel costs will I be looking at? Thanks for your help guys.
imi
Welcome around town expect 20-24mpg.
supralu
Sounds good. Does the supra TT have 70 litre fuel tank?
stevie_b
Welcome to the club. £6k will probably get you an import TT auto, probably not a manual or a UK spec though. Around town, I'd estimate 20mpg, maybe a touch less.
supralu
That's cool I was expecting 14-18mpg so that's a bonus. So roughly 250-260 miles to a full tank? I drive a remmaped 150bhp 206 diesel and a 163bhp BMW 320d so it'll be a big step up to the TT sup and much different fuel costs but I'm sure it's worth it. The fastest thing I've driven is a Ferrari F430 on a track and the only thing I could afford close to the performance of that is the supra plus a few mods. Just gotta convince the missus now. nevins
Hi, welcome to the club, for a good idea of what to expect and to get some knowledge on a supra, pop along to one of your local meets and have a chat with the members that are there. I'm sure they will give you a passenger ride in one if you ask . Gareth

Havard
Welcome..!! Plenty of choice around at the moment, check the classifieds and Pistonheads but it may be worth checking with the forum to see if the car you fancy is a lemon. Seen a couple lately that would not be top of my wanted list but the new owners didn't ask the question before getting their hard earned wonga out..!! Good luck with the sale..!! H. nevins
The thread about a member who bought a mkiv without lifting the bonnet comes to mind, and finding out they bought an n/a lol, even if it was a wind up .

See my ad http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2028534.htm Otherwise good luck finding one :-) That looks like a nice car, how long have you had it? I remember it being up for sale when I was looking for a TT. Or have you dropped the price as it didn't move originally? H.
supralu
Hey that is a nice car mate. As I said earlier I have to wait a couple months before I can buy though. Gotta clear my credit card and some other bits and I'll be ready. If it's still for sale then I'll definitely have a look. I also need to sell my Peugeot first. Thanks for the advice guys, really appreciate it.
