At what power level is the standard inlet manifold and throttle bodie deemed to be restrictive to a single setup???

Maybe around 600hp before you'd start considering one, but there's higher powered cars around running the stock one.

Depends if you are talking about EU hp or US hp

You can push a lot (certainly a lot more than 600 bhp) with the stock intake.

 

The only reason I'm going for an aftermarked is that I want to take the most out of my current turbo setup .. with the stock intake, I would probably have to go for a bigger turbo for the power I'm after.

I believe there are plenty of 9 sec cars in the states on a stock inlet still.

As dude says, there are plenty of big power cars running stock intake, there is gains to be had at all levels of power though imo.

Like JP says you will gain more power by fitting one but IMO it should be done lower down the list, ie after you have a top turbo and fuel system.

I always thought an aftermarket plenum is like fitting cams without losing spool time.
