jevansio
Just thought I'd wack this up as it's good info. When I had my 264 in/jpsec ex cam setup I did some data logging on the aem with regard to spool. I just been out with the 280's fitted to see what I've actually lost in spool. All runs were in 5th gear, the 264/j runs x 2 was done on a 6 deg ambient day, the 280's today temp is 11 deg. Looks like I've lost around 200rpm, which I'm over the moon with

jevansio
Yip, I'm over the moon with that, if I can pull 1.5 BAR from 3700 to 8000 it should make for an awesome ride. Getting booked in with Ryan over the next couple of weeks on the dyno so should have some hard and fast power figures for a T67 billet on 280's too

Going off that, going from 270's to 280's I doubt you'll even lose that, maybe 100rpm
TLicense
Hmmm, interesting. Might end up doing a similar swap, although I've spent the last 12 hours sorting out the shims and timing on mine, so hopefully not too soon!
Terminator
Raise the compression with 280's and feel the gain:D
JamieP
Raise the compression with 280's and feel the gain:D Good for race fuel but not pump fuel it seems, depends on your goals. Lee's engine see's knock long before mine does, he has to run tourlene to get any decent power.
