Jellybean
I got a punture last week and put on the space saver today, I tried to move the car out of the underground up a steep incline but the space saver just kept spinning . So had to give up and park her up, is it c tyre or diff issue, she has the carbonetic carbon lsd Edited October 15, 2010 by Jellybean (see edit history)
Abz
How steep are we talking? Mine was a bit difficult to drive in the wet with the space saver on, though it wasn't really slipping. Are you getting any other noise (apart from the wheel slipping?).
Jellybean
No other noises but it is very steep easy near 45 degrees
Abz
No other noises but it is very steep easy near 45 degrees Then I'd say it is struggling with grip, they don't have much surface area them space savers.
Jellybean
But I taught a limited slip diff would transmit most of power to the wheel with grip
dwayne
my lsd doesnt work like that. get some weight in the boot
Chris Wilson
Sounds like the LSD part of the diff is useless for some reason. My diff will drive the car with only one back wheel on it, should it have to. I assume this thing is a plate type diff? If so it should transmit whatever torque it's preset to, then add more torque once it senses slippage.
2soops
Have you tried putting one of the front wheels on the back just to get up the slope then swap them back round!!!
