erol_h
my old man mentioned instead of messing about with builders to just buy a carport instead and install myself. Something along the lines of this http://a2zcanopies.co.uk/ but he said you can also get ones that have a roof tile effect aswell.
erol_h
Ive decided to get the roof constructed from roof tiles ive been browsing through the planning permission and everything seems to be ok and i dont seem to need permission. I only have one rule that has got me stuck it says you will also need to apply for planning permission if you want to build an addition which would be nearer to any highway than the nearest part of the original house. Does this rule apply to me as im not building a extension just a roof that will rest on the existing wall.
Animal
I would say you'd be fine as long as nothing actually passes beyong the existing wall. If you were to run guttering along the wall, for example, that would probably require planning permission.
erol_h
The drainage will be level with the wall and will not stick out plus i think its not a good idea to stick out as there are a few idiot kids that would probably try and pull on it if it stuck out.
