Should both boost readings be the same?

Hi all.

My cars got an Apexi SAFC, Blitz Boost Gauge & a Blitz boost Controller.

Both the Blitz boost Gauge & the Controller READ the same or similar boost HOWEVER the Apexi SAFC only reads a max of 0.82Bar.

Car has been set to push 1.2Bar.

Any ideas as to why the Apexi isnt reading the same pressure.

I have a HKS boost gauge and the boost reading on my blitz id3 controller differs only on negative boost readings! Work that one out lol, once boost goes positive they are pretty much both spot on. Weird these things m8, don't worry and just go by the one most likely to be accurate.. the gauge :)

Although it is strange in your case how it seems to be hitting a ceiling level.

Which do you go by if neither are mechanical?

I'd say that the Apexi SAFC is wrong as both the blitz gauge and the controller read the same (1.2bar) and this makes sense as my cars been de-catted, so 0.84bar doesnt make sense (reading of the SAFC)

Makes sense, plus the difference between 0.84 and 1.2 bar will be rather easy to feel :eyebrows: so pretty sure you'd know if it was only hitting what the SAFC thinks you are.

Tricky bristol, I'd be tempted to believe any decent gauge (unless obviously way out) over the controller but maybe thats false logic what do I know  Could always try a known accurate one in if possible or if you have it dyno'd somewhere good see what there equipment shows?

So if the SAFC is only seeing .084bar does this mean its not adding enough fuel for the 1.2 bar you are actually getting :conf:

Something to get checked out ASAP imi :Pling:

Good point......upon advice from Miami-GT at the recent Dyno day, I have trimmed the Air/Fuel back to standard settings @ full throttle, Standard settings are fine for 1.2 bar - well thats what Homer and others are running...

Im bringing this thread back to life as I need some advice on this again :(

My cars been de-catted and its got a restrictor ring fitted. Now that I have changed the plugs on my car, the boost controller spikes upto 1.4BAR (regardless of what settings I use, I have tried to zero out everything and it still shoots upto 1.4)

My Blitz boost gauge does however read just about 1.2 or slightly over.

My SAFC is still out.....

ANY IDEAS PLEASE???
