Attero
How long does it take for a passport to be processed and sent out? Mine has needed renewing for the past few years now and I've just been shortlisted to win a great prize + flight to san francisco for the beginning of december. If I do it by the end of october, do you think I would recieve it before the end of november?

Havard
Or make an appointment at your local passport office, will get it within 2 weeks. They don't do appointments any more I thought? Well in Liverpool anyway. I recently applied for my sons and got it back within 7 days through the fast track system. It costs about a tenner and included postage both ways from the post office, bargain..!! H.
ScottC
I did mine online which took about 2 weeks to arrive. Strangely it's easier to renew a passport than a drivers licence

caseys
24 hours upwards, depending on how willing you are to travel / bend over. Come to think of it, I do too Me too in December, weird isn't it? you'd thought they'd have longer than a ten year expiry. I think quite frankly it's an absurd charge. Looking at a picture of a 25 year old handsome guy on my licence. I would never pass an identity check, 3 stone heavier and bald......still handsome though.... H. caseys
A divers licence only last ten years now? Erm yes..? Check out the front of your license - 4a (date of issue), 4b (date of expiry!) The dates from/when you're allowed to drive with your license iirc are sections 10 and 11 on the back?

Ah, I wasn't even legal to view a '12' rated film back then I think the laws changed just over a decade ago, you'll also find you're licensed to drive a lot of different classed vehicles that for instance, I am not under a standard driving test.
