Guest Warden
Hi all, I`m new to the forum and looking at buying my first Supra. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the difference in bph between the `94 turbo and non-turbo versions. 0-60 speeds for the 2 would also be helpful. Thanks for your time! adi2009
The J-spec turbo is approx. 300 bhp the UK spec turbo is 320 bhp The Non-turbo is 220 bhp Official 0-60 for NA is 6.6sec (real world figures tend to be in the 7's)
Guest Warden
Thanks mate! Just to clarify the NA is the non-turbo, right?

Guest Warden
Thanks fellas you`ve been really helpful. Does anyone know the 0-60 of the standard turbo version?
JohnA
Correction, the UK and J-spec cars are both around the 320hp mark From what I've read on this forum, the J-spec is quicker, being lighter and with bigger, ceramic turbos. I'm sure CJ will correct me if I'm wrong.

If that leaves you even more confused well ... :littled:

If that leaves you even more confused well ... :littled: The turbos are different, the Jap ones are a bit bigger. however, the exact wording was "From what I've read on this forum", I didn't comment on whether I agree or not The Jspecs have smaller exh A/R and the transmission has shorter gearing, so to me it's no wonder they feel quicker (and probably are quicker at lower speeds) As for the 'lower weight', don't get me started on what's missing... Bobbeh
Go ask the boys on Supraforums.com about which they'd rather own. They'll answer all your questions.
adi2009
The boys on supraforums are all yanks, most of them havent seen or driven a J-spec car. However, i m not saying one is better than the other and as far as i have heard, the UK/US car is a tad faster (but dont quote me on that) cheers
JohnA
I'll get me coat now, this UK/JSpec debate has lost its sparkle for me, I've posted a long list of differences in previous posts. Let the 'search' button do its magic...
