Exporting engine abroad

Recommended Posts

A short while back, I sold my V6 Turbo engine from the MR2, plus all ancilaries to a chap in Malta.

The car has since been crushed. He is continually asking for a "sales document" and "export papers". Now, I've given him the invoice I got when I bought the engine, and all original invoices for everything else with the engine. The shipping firm took care of the export from the UK.

Is there anything else I can do to get the guy what he needs?

not sure if will help but i just asked a guy i know in malta if he had any idea and i'll let you know when he gets back to me. maybe they have different rules in importing/exporting cos they arent part of EU customs?

i did see an ebay add the other day that said they will ship anywhere except malta so maybe they are crazy strict or something

Hopefully - it's proving to be quite a tiring act in dealing with this chap!
