cheekymonkey
Going from 18" AVS 5s to Stock UK 17 inch rims - really transforms the ride! Feels a lot smoother now however haven't had a chance to really see what the handling is like. But me likey so far! Now... do I sell the AVSs?? Ian W
Now... do I sell the AVSs?? Yes Note: The above sly face is only aimed at those modders who believe in putting the biggest wheels possible on your car at the sacrifice of handling. If you prefer the 17s, stick with them I say. cheekymonkey
Not sure about price yet - but as I happen to own a wheel refurbishment place they will be in great condition... in whichever colour the new owner wants
TTRickeh
Just popped my stock ones on for the winter too. Car seems smoother like you said and a bit more agile/lighter steering.

tooquicktostop
When I brought the stock TT6 on 16" Jap spec alloys I could not believe how smooth it was and so quiet, just shows Toyota got it right the first time
supra_aero
I had model 5s on my car. They are lighter than stock so surprised by your reaction.

Dnk
I'll agree to comfort but not so convinced regards handling etc unless ofcourse you drive in the slow lane of the m way or have to use crap rds because its your daily. I'll take my 19's or 18's properly set up over the 17's any day:d
johnny g
Maybe, just maybe 18's. But, 17's are the best. 19's ruin it, totally.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree 19's properly set up and not on some potholed back street work very well, not great for everyday use on our rds but on track or decent rds i have no issues with them. Totally ruin it im afraid i totally disagree with Edited October 10, 2010 by Dnk (see edit history)

mobius
Just fitted mine on for winter as well, first time I've seen them on the car as when I collected it my Ultralites were on it. Have to say the stock 16's do look OK and mine are not silver but anthracite black look, ( don't know if this was a OEM look but even the rear of the wheel is this colour), it now gives the car a kind of retro look with small rims and a lot of tyre showing. http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2009/12/ultra-rare-1970-toyota-2000gt-up-for.html http://www.topspeed.com/cars/toyota/1967-1970-toyota-2000-gt-ar10869.html What I would give for one of these
