Ian W
My insurance had consistently dropped for years....until this year. Yes, you can guess it actually went up. Couldn't even get anywhere to match last year's premium

caseys
Yep mine went up with A-Plan even though I racked up another year's NCB, no claims/convictions in last 5 years. Though only found two insurers that could beat them. Again tried our club insurer, they've never been competitive for me for some reason Even with 20% discount they were coming in 30% more than the best quote I could get. Abz
Yep, I know what you mean. I'll have 8 years NCB this year but I am sure it will still go up like last year! Living in London doesn't seem to help as well.

I would have imagined that the mods are the problem and not your age. Brendan is 26 I think? I spoke to guy called Richard @ Lynbrook, he seemed to be ok. But he has protected no claims, isnt that the point of it ? No, you will keep your discount percentage but the "list" price will just get higher. Protected no claims is a con to me and that's why I don't have it. I got my A4 insured recently with 0 no claims available. I sent them some letters from my old companies saying that I had never had a crash in my company car and now Be Wiser insurance have confirmed that I have nine years no claims in writing..... Next year I will be able to go to anyone and have full no claims because I found an insurance company that would "play ball" with me. You always need to have a good ring around. I tried 30 companies. Abz
But he has protected no claims, isnt that the point of it ? The NCB gives you a discount on insurance but if you have had accidents they still go into account, hence why the quotes are so high as they have 2 accidents on record & a speeding ticket. Havard
sky could not help me think its time to sell up and then kill myself Make sure you do it in that order..... Have you tried Adrian Flux, Carole Hash, Liverpool Victoria, Keith Michaels? They all seemed reasonable when I was looking. Putting it on a classic is the best option but you need to have the Supe as a second car or do seriously low mileage. H.

James
I'm not looking forward to getting a quote as - since my last - I've had one claim (knocking my NCB from 3 down to 1) and have gotten myself 6 points for speeding back in 2008 (took 2.5 years to ever get anywhere!). I was £950 fully comp at 21. I'm 22 now but with these circumstances.
