JakeG
So I was out on a run in the motor last night driving about Belfast, all of a sudden this supra pulls up beside me and lights up the rears and takes off banging and spiting flames half way down the street, when eventually caught up we pulled over at the side of a road and I got to take a look about his motor and it was unbelievable, he has a 3.6L stroker kit in it and absolutely everything else you need for 1000bhp, he was currently out on his run in period after building the engine, he is getting the car dyno'd at the weekend and will be hitting the strip this Sunday all being well to see what it can do, il be meeting him up there so I hope to get more pics than the two I took, the car was purposely built to beat the 1000bhp evo of east coast customs so can't wait to see that drag race
Gaz6002
3.6-litre eh?
tooquicktostop
Looks like the fan has been chewed on one blade? 3.6 stroker from a 3L, thats quite something, and twice 1000BHP has been mentioned as the target on this forum in two days, wonder how many will actually get a dyno up with the magic number
Ian W
Looks like the fan has been chewed on one blade? Perhaps just the angle we're looking at it from? We need dyno graphs though
Attero
The colour scheme is very sickly.... 3.6L though, and a chewed fan blade.... hmm...
Benyon
Perhaps just the angle we're looking at it from? We need dyno graphs though I dont think a dyno graph will tell us if the fan blade is broken or not:p
JamieP
Looks a nice car, Just needs a few finishing touches, is he a member? Turbo looks big enough for a 1000 horses, strange looking fuel setup, twin FPR's. Stephen G
i wonder if thats the supra that was laying at AI autosports. Some guy had built the engine to a massive spec and decided to map the car himself on their RR but wrecked the engine trying to map it. As far as i know it was a really bad shell and they bought the car off the owner and built it into a silver one, maybe that was it
hodge
Engine bay is a little untidy for my liking lol.
Terminator
Feed to the TB looks to restrictive for 1000 bhp. Fan blade is chewed.

No not a member mate but will be pushing for him to get signed up, the turbo is a garret but can't remember what one he said, all I remember was he said it's the biggest turbo he could fit in it
ManwithSupra
Maybe 700-800bhp... and for a rebuild it looks pretty used to me... That fan is really not going to be very useful on cooling the rad without any ducting and damaged fins, If he just spent ££££'s on a rebuild i would of sorted out the cooling system as a priority. bondango
Definately not one of our customers or engine builds

Tricky-Ricky
There are a couple of small points that bother me if its supposed to make 1K BHP besides the fan, and the first is thats a rather small HKS dump valve to handle the amount of boost pressure that turbo would need to produce, and also the intake pipework is also on the small side. Edit, Oh! and the part about it banging and spitting flames, which to me points at bouncing off the rev limiter, and he is running in? jim
If you look very closely at the pic, the fanblade looks damaged? What was his name Jake, was he from Belfast?
HERBIE
"lights up the rears and takes off banging and spiting flames half way down the street...... he was currently out on his run in period after building the engine" Does he plan on rebuilding it again? I thought the whole point of a run in period was not to dog the balls off the motor?? Maybe i'm missing something somewhere
JakeG
Yea it was bouncing of the limiter because he had the revs set to 5000, but I'm gona try get as much info as possible next time I see him and get a picture of his dyno chart too, hopefully he will reach 1000, I have a small video of him taking off which I will upload later on when I get back to the house
