Abz
Evening All, Just wanted some clarification on this. I currently have a Personalised number plate (Which I brought), when selling my car I would like to have it taken off though don't have another car to put it on. Does it need to go on retention? I have had a look on the DVLA website & it states I need to fill in a form & send them £105 Is this correct? Seems a lot of money for them to send the old plates back to me. Found this link on the DVLA but wasn't 100% sure DVLA Thanks in advance.
Fitz
But you're not selling your car....so don't worry
little num
Yes the £105 is charged like this £80 for taking it off and £25 for retension for 12 months, if after 12 months passes you still have it you will have to pay another £25 for another 12 months. But with it on retension you can then sell the plate and charge the new owner the £80 fee as the £80 fee is for transfering it from 1 car to another. Abz
But you're not selling your car....so don't worry Cliff, this has been eating at me for months. I think I am going to have to come out of the Supra fold for a year or so, though it won't stop me from attending the meets, I'll just park my oil burner further away Yes the £105 is charged like this £80 for taking it off and £25 for retension for 12 months, if after 12 months passes you still have it you will have to pay another £25 for another 12 months.
