TLicense Posted October 2, 2010 Share Posted October 2, 2010 It's the maximum pressure generated by the piston compressing the air in the cylinder. If your readings are low then it would mean that the air is escaping somewhere at a rate quicker than the piston can compress it. As has been said, don't worry if the values are a little low, as long as they're consistent. If one is low on it's own then it means trouble.
