neo2810
Anyone got any tips on removing steering wheel screws? The ones that hold the wheel to the boss (momo) are solid to the point where my socket wrench is starting to strip the Allen key hole on the screw. I'll try some heat in case there's thread lock but anyone got any ideas short of drilling them out should heat fail?
Nic
Try putting a whole punch in the centre of each screw and tapping with a hammer, the vibration might help free the threads. Also spray with WD40 and leave to soak for a while.

neo2810
An impact what? I was at AAS earlier and stu had a quick go but no joy. He suggested drilling them with a 5mm bit and I tend to agree . Doubt anything else will get these off. I have replacement screws so not fussed about losing them. neo2810
I managed to screw them out without mishap. Happy days. Cheers for the advice though chaps
