Upping boost with aftermarket ECU

Hi guys,

Wondered if you could clear up a couple of Q's i have, i'm pretty sure i already know the answers but want to double check.

My car is currently running 1 bar and i have an Apexi Power FC ECU and first Decat. Am i right in thinking upping the boost to 1.2 bar would require me to have a re-map due to the aftermarket ECU? Also, according to the BPU faq, the 2nd De-cat is also required? I already have a Walbro fuel pump, so i'm fine in that respsect. Lastly, does anyone have any operational info on the Apexi AVCR Boost Controller?

Full spec is in my Garage if i've missed anything.

Thanks

Dan

So was the Power FC only mapped to 1bar? If so then best to get it checked/mapped if raising above that.

The cats are quite restrictive, running higher boost levels with either of the cats in place could generate dangerously high exhaust gas temps. Best to remove both cats if running 1.2bar.

and unless you already have the AVCR you can just get the Apexi boost solenoid.

Already got one installed mate.

hey up dan,

heres a link to the AVCR......only 100 pages like :)

Awesome bit of kit once u get your head round it.

Best thing to do is have set A as your normal run about i.e 1 bar or less and have Set up B as your racing mode;)

Best of luck with the read buddy.

Cheers mate, 1 page down.....99 to go :p

Good advice mate, i'm planning on standard boost for everyday driving, and 1.2 for, Racing mode ;)
