Very sad to hear this news :( Alan was a great chap, both on and off the forum. He was quite a character when he ventured down south for the AFR open day, even though a few of us had problems understanding his accent :)

It was only Wednesday we were discussing the problems he'd had with someone who was messing him around - as was typical for Alan he was quick to let us know so we can warn others.

RIP Alan and my condolences to Kris & the family.

In a mark of respect a minutes silence will be held for Alan at the llandow trackday tomorrow.

Followed by a few rolling burnouts perhaps to give him something to smile at or maybe a line-up of the cars in the pit lane revving and popping as a salute to a fallen comrade.

This should all be caught on video by the way:cool:

I hope this idea doesn't come across as inappropriate or disrespectful.

I'd like it if a few of ye did something like that in my memory.

Thank you everyone. I'm really touched by the nice messages that have been left.

My old man would be stunned and shocked at such a gesture to hold a minutes silence as I am. I've kept it together for 2 days until i read that, really means alot to me and the family.

Hope everyone has fun on the track

Best regards

Kris

Kris I've been thinking of your Dad all day, we never met but he came across as such caring friendly guy when we chatted. My and I'm sure everyone else here send their thoughts to you and your family, he was a fellow Supra lover and will be missed by us all.

Alan rest in peace my friend. :friday:
