-Welsh-Stealth-
does anybody know where these can be bought to fit the 2jz ge? or somebody who can build them? and with the na conversion would it be a case of an ecu re-map or goin standalone? started reading the threads through the search and am now completely lost!lol! just looking for a little advice &point in the right direction cheers
Kirk
Cant be bought off the shelf to fit, you need to source some decent ones like M3 TBs and fabricate them to fit then you will need a full standalone to control them so its not cheap

Supra Gaz
I looked into this lately, contact Steve batt at silverline racing, the man knows his stuff. It won't be cheap, around £3k, but my god it would sound good! I'm going down a different route now. Good luck
sams
As a bonus a plenum could be made to go in place of the trumpets for adding a turbo, im sure someone nt long ago but itbs on a tt with a custom plenum

Tricky-Ricky
IMO it would be a high price to pay for maybe 15 BHP.
-Welsh-Stealth-
really prefer not to go TT. and £3k...a bit more than expected.but i'll give him a ring&look into it if not could always rip out the a/c and chuck in a supercharger!?lol! barney your the jedi in that department ain't you? ha ha! what sort of price would you put on that? just a consideration. but seriously thinkin ITB's at the moment
-Welsh-Stealth-
IMO it would be a high price to pay for maybe 15 BHP. seriously? only 15bhp? well thats a bit of a kick in the teeth... yeah martin was looking at it.it's a bit to much skill for me to tackle alone.will get in touch with silverline-racing Edited September 30, 2010 by -Welsh-Stealth- picked up teeth (see edit history)
Kirk
You didnt realy expect to see huge increases from TBs did you
-Welsh-Stealth-
no not massivly but was expectin enough to make a small difference.i have a friend who did the same with his car(not a supra) and seriously added some kick to the ride! felt a bit more than 15bhp. so hence why i started looking around.and enquired about them. Kirk
There not going to net you much at all without some other mods, head porting would help, some wild cams and higher CR pistons would make a difference but your well into 5k there. If your that keen on hearing what they sound like then just watch this over and over. The TBs on this car came from a blacktop 3sge. . Kirk
FSR for a fee or im sure someone in the UK could do it providing you can supply the TBs but it will take alot of work and machining etc to do so expect to pay big and thats before the price of injectors to suit and a full standalone. Ive thought about it time and time again and tbh i can do this step later on as i have better things to spend 2k on at the minute.
barneybrendan
i love that video that car sounds mental off to find itb's now.You have to have a cool name to have them though.Imagine that mixed with the sound of a supercharger. Kirk
Well in that case good luck but expect to pay the best part of 200-300 for TBs. Its alot of money for little gains, if you want the noise just record it off youtube and play it out loud.
Rob_Mitchell
the sound is unbeatable. granted though i need this na-t up and running on mine first so my money is being saved for that, my god i love the idea of running these though
