Benyon
To cut a long story short I need to intake 120grams (no more no less) of protine a day to start off with, Aswell has having one protine shake (45gram in one shake) a day. What else can I eat to make up the rest of the 75gram's that I need? Basically I dont know how much protine these items contain that I like to eat (Im picky with my food and I hate fish so thats a no no) I will list the stuff I will be eating and if someone whos knowledgeable could tell me roughly how much of this stuff I need to be eating. I will be eating Porage for breakfast (not sure of much protine in each serving?) * Cheese * Eggs * Rice * Chicken (The amount chicken I eat comes to 28grams) * Potato * Rasins (I will eat them with breakfast and carry them round with me to nibble on between meals) Im not bodybuilding so Im not going for mass and I cant have too much muscle. So long as I get 120gram of protine I can manage myself then.

ozz
Try bodybuilding.com, very busy site with lots of info. Masses of info out there for weightlifting nutrition. Protein is pretty easy to get, chicken, tuna, salmon, it really depends what your goals are (add weight etc) for what you eat with it. AlliRR
muscletalk.co.uk loads of helpfull stuff on diets on there mate, other than actually reading the packets of the stuff your eating I'd only be guessing at protein amounts. Personally, I like Reflex Peptide Fusion for my protein needs, along with plenty of chicken/turkey and half my protein intake of carbs from rice etc... Im curious why 120g of protein though? unless you weigh around 60kg?
Benyon
2 protein shakes leaves you with 30 Yeah but I dont want to rely on shake's I want protine from proper food:d Try bodybuilding.com, very busy site with lots of info. Masses of info out there for weightlifting nutrition. Protein is pretty easy to get, chicken, tuna, salmon, it really depends what your goals are (add weight etc) for what you eat with it. I want to get to certain weight and stay in that weight, I thought I would ask on here as I know theres a few cagefighters and bodybuilder on here. I thought I would try my luck. The main thing I need to know is how much of each should I be eating. I can work out the ones that come in box's but eggs/patato/cheese I dont know how much protine they contain. AlliRR
generally mate I was always told, 2g protein for every kg of your weight. 1g carb as above. carbs can be less depending how fat you are (lol) as you'll burn that fat for energy during workout. Plenty of info on either of those forums though, and the MT one has loads of guides to download.... if your that way inclined. have fun... dinner time! Yeah I will check out the sites later on, I know what I have to do about carbs so rice a fruit will be in my diet. As for the Protein (lol just noticed how ive been spelling it) intake different people need different ways of building the mass, 2g for every kg didnt work for me last time round so ive been told to try 1g for every kg to see if that works for me better. The problem with mass buiding is some peoples body's wont react the same as others so one person's advice may not work for me.

Kirk
Im currently under lui's tution, lol , so to speak and im doing alright now but it is an incredibly hard diet to live by and by no means cheap. I tend to hit a brick wall at 10.5 stone which is where im at now but im trying to power through it, just hard work and patience. Dont forget to include water, drink lots of it a day. Abz
What is your main achievement? Is it for the MMA part of bodybuilding? You need to have a hard iron body to get into MMA but you need strength but not over bulk yourself so you can be nimble. I did MMA before but I am now starting to concentrate on Wing Chun which takes a different mentality. What sort of exercise are you taking as surely this would effect how much protein\carbs you can eat.

Geo
What's your opinion on Maximuscle's stuff? Promax and Cyclone? Dont use it myself bud, so cant really comment on it TBH. But i see more and more of it in tesco etc, so IMO only its made for them using not so good stuff, from a quick look on the nutritional info and ingredients on the back i use Extreme Nutrition/PHD these i have found really good so i stay with them. Currently using Extreme Pro 6, but i'll change over to PHD so i dont get bored with the stuff Edit: nothing beats real food, iv had 5 meals today all whole food, and one shake, only because im off work and can cook it all fresh, but the saying goes if you cant eat it, drink it. Supe
Maximuscle works but has a very disgusting taste... I'm using PHD at the moment, imo it's better VFM and also tastes much nicer. Geo, which one do you use/recommend mate (from the PHD range). Pharma Whey or the Synergy ISO? I'm using the Pharma Whey atm...
