Johnny's HKS Twins Project

They are the 3037's so next ones up from mine but I think Dimirti said they have very small exhaust housings 0.58.

He says the spool was 4300 - 4500rpm so they must be small. Mine have the .73 housings and I get full boost at 5000rpm.

Will be a great setup with that kind of spool. :)

What I would say though is you may as well pull the engine out to fit this kit, its very difficault trying to fit it in the car. That way you can do any engine work thats planned at the same time.

Similar sizing to my Blitz twins then. I had the 8.11 housings (which is equivalent to the 0.73 that you've got Lee) and I found it too laggy.

I've swapped the housings over to 6.11 (which is equivalent to 0.55) to improve the spool.

Titan are doing it for me. Fully built head.

Scrap the above now! I've managed to source a VVTi head that I'm having some gentle work done too, and using my existing head to get fully built up.

I do have a question, regarding fuel setups. I'm planning a Bosch044 in the tank, with the addon filter and 8AN check valve from JayRacing.

Fitting this, with a -8 bulkhead adapter - how much hose will I need to go to the filter, (Earls -8AN) and then from the filter to the rail? I've got an M12x1.25 adapter to 8AN for the stock rail.

I'm staying with the stock rail till it maxes out (800cc drop ins). Then I'll see where I go from there. I want to go -8AN, as I'd rather only do this once.

Ta.

Really looking forward to the result of this on dude, i will go big twins/big single (still ages away tho) and looking forward to your results as there arent many twin setups here

Me too bud. It won't be a patch on LeeP's car - but in time, I'll get it there. I want to do it slowly, and properly. I've been there with the big project and everything done at once. Was without the car for 2 years. I don't want that again lol.

Right, just a quick update - and another question.

The fuel setup is all bought and ready to take over to Hodge to pre-assemble, to save a bit of time.

I just need buy the cams now, but I'm not sure which ones to go for. I effectively have two choices on the intake side. (I've a rebuilt head that I bought from Dude, that has uprated BC springs in it).

Intake choices:

Titan 264, 9.35mm lift

Titan 272, 9.90mm lift

As for the exhaust side, I'd want something to complement the intake cam choice - and I'm open to anything on that. Suggestions?

Regarding ther cams, bioth myself and Rick have seen amazing results of Lee's SRD stage 2 cams.

Similar to 269 profiles, with around 9.6m lift.... highly recommend them mate :)

srd stage 2 cams seem to be the in thing at the moment and proving good results

I'll see if Lee can do me an exhaust only cam then :)

What about the intake cam, the 264 or the 272?
