Matt H
3k to insure a car of what value? My supra just after it was re-built - (as it is now minus the single turbo few bits and bobs). I lost my NCB and I was relatively young so that was the best I could find. It was a bit of a killer and a nice easy £3k profited by the insurer that year. Gaz6002
My worst was £5,500 on an Escort Cosworth when I was 19. I bought an MR2 turbo instead which was quicker
AlliRR
Try admiral, I just got a quote of £490 fully comp with mods declaired, no ncb at 29yo if i add my 2nd car ill save another 200quid! And my bro just insured his exige with them for a similar price. Dunno how they are doing it but they are very cheap at the moment.
stevie_b
Why do you need 3rd party on other cars, dont you have another car with a policy that allows that? The other car is in my wife's name (or soon will be), and I think it's only the policyholder who gets that benefit. I very occasionally want to drive other people's cars, e.g. taking my old kitchen to the dump in the back of a family member's transit van.
