chrispazzi
I was going to get a copy of the owners manual and service manual for the UK Supra as the next-best-thing to proper Japanese spec manuals that I can't read. But it occurred to me that there may be exported versions of the Supra to other english-speaking countries that may be more similar to the Japanese spec cars that the UK models and therefore whose manuals would be more closely related. Does anyone know if there are "better" manuals to go for than the UK versions? And a second bonus question... My Greddy boost gauge is great apart from the fact that you can't see it in the dark. Is it possible to get it back-lit? Thanks in advance for any answers. Chris

Well, something similar but the answer you want is in there too. The owners manual for UK, US, Euro and Jap are all the same just translated in to the relevant language. As for the boost gauge, I never had it out but if you pop it out you 'may' find it has a back light bulb actually in it but it may have gone pop and need replacing. Cause you may not. To check you'll need to pop the back off the sealed unit, just becareful not to lose any bits! I seem to remember that there are usually two little screws holding the unit together. Hope that helps a bit mate.
chrispazzi
Thanks for the note. I guess the Owners manual will be similar, but I'm wondering more about the Service manuals. For example, I would imagine a US manual would be more use as it will detail the twin turbo whereas the UK manual (presumably) details the single turbo? On the other hand, the US manual may have many components the "wrong way round" as it's left hand drive over there???
Dragonball
Didn't someone have it on CD-ROM on the list? Check out the history threads - I may be (and often am) wrong Cheers Paul:cool:

The UK spec car never came with a single turbo, twin turbo as per the j-spec just a different spec.

Matt C
Shame the UK car didn't come with a huge single turbo. Couldn't see anything wrong with tht idea.
