Looks awesome mate. Bet you are a happy bunny

Very, just want the weather to pick up:)

lovely car mate, quick question - how much did you pay for the splitter? (you can pm me if youd rather not post in public) reason I ask is, i think i have the same one and I'm thinking of getting rid.... cheers dude

I paid £120 mate, for that price I would recommend one to everyone who still has a stock front :)

Looks good, do the new wheels come in decent widths? can only see 8.5 listed.

They came in an 8.5 and 9.5 widths, but I've actually changed which wheels I want(although they are similar) these ones come in 8.5, 9.5 and 11 width sizes, My idea is to get the wheels in 8.5 and 9.5 for the stock body and then when it gets resprayed, have the arches like yours put on and move the 9.5s to the front, get a pair of 11s for the back and have one of the 8.5s as a spare in the boot.

They do run a low offset, but don't know if it's enough to fill the arches nicely, I'll have to see how much they stick out side the body, I might have to see if I can get some slightly narrower arches made up.

Spot on mate

Thanks mate, looking forward to your upcoming update:)

I dont think the TRD spoiler works with the car IMO mate.

Hasnt got the stance and skirts for it IMO. Apart from that it looks well. :)

Neither do I at the moment mate, but the it should hopefully look alright once the new wheels and Ridox skirts are on:)

Them wheels wont work, the 8.5/9.5 combo is to low ofset for a stock body car, them 11" wide ones will be lost without spacers in the nur arches.

Damn, I'll do some calculations tomorrow to see how much I'd need to widen the arches for them and if there is anything available as I really like those wheels, don't want to use spacers either, just want wheels that fill the arches nicely.

Cheers for the heads up though, I was going to order them this week, could of proved an expensive mistake if there was no arches out there as ideally theres only 3 types of arches I would want, The Nur's, TRD or Do-luck, ones that flow with the stock body basically.

God i miss that car lol.looking very good i think it being resprayed back to rsp and the standard spoiler would look amazing.hope its serving you as well as it did me

Yeah, can't wait until it goes back to RSP:) Yes, it's certainly serving me well, we'll have to meet up when the weather pics up next year and I'll give you a go out in it:)

great work Marc, the tuning bug has caught you. soon you will be going single ;)

Don't tempt me, I will go single but the soonest it's going to be is next winter.

S Reg TT6 Aero

Could be the only one in the country?

It's the only RHD one I know of across europe, there's probably another, but I haven't found any yet.

Very special even if there is another. Great base car to start a project, very jealous Mr P!

Really liking that front splitter - simple yet effective. Who makes it? Kind of gives a BN sports front type of look me thinks

Not quite sure who makes it, give Matt or Dude at AFR a PM, it's a great fit though, you have to drill the holes yourself but it's a relatively easy job and only took me about an hour to to.

Well seeing as it's christmas I felt I would treat my car so I rinsed it off then polished it and waxed it and rolled it out for some photos, I also fitted my private plate and some white LED sidelights which look a lot better than the standard yellow looking ones and I took some detailed photos of niggles that need fixxing over the next couple of months, I also fitted my Stormforce cover that I got for christmas to keep it a little bit more wrapped up:d

Anyway onto the pics, first up, a quick comparision on the new sidelights(bit of a boring update for some but best £3 I ever spent to me :) ):

attachment.php?attachmentid=130813&stc=1&d=1303152581

With both fitted along with my new plate:

attachment.php?attachmentid=130814&stc=1&d=1303152596

Then some pics in the snow:

attachment.php?attachmentid=130815&stc=1&d=1303152608

attachment.php?attachmentid=130816&stc=1&d=1303152623

attachment.php?attachmentid=130817&stc=1&d=1303152632

attachment.php?attachmentid=130818&stc=1&d=1303152644

attachment.php?attachmentid=130819&stc=1&d=1303152654

attachment.php?attachmentid=130820&stc=1&d=1303152668

Then it's onto the niggles, first up is it's desperate need to be sprayed back to RSP, just open the door and there's the original colour:

attachment.php?attachmentid=130821&stc=1&d=1303152672

Then the roof/window seals need doing as they have seen better days and it does leak and there is an annoying wind whistle at 60+(on a side note, does anyone know where I can source these from?):

attachment.php?attachmentid=130822&stc=1&d=1303152693

Up next is the boot rubbers, not quite sure what is going on here, the top ones have been replaced neatly though:

attachment.php?attachmentid=130823&stc=1&d=1303152701

This has also caused the boot to sit a tad too high aswell as the rubbers are stopping it from closing with a tighter shut line:

attachment.php?attachmentid=130824&stc=1&d=1303152714

The Passenger mirror cover is also looseand can be pulled off it's mounts faily easily:

attachment.php?attachmentid=130825&stc=1&d=1303152723

There is also the plastic strip on the front bumper that needs putting back on properly, this is probably a 10 muinite fix but it was starting to get very cold so thought I'd have a look at it tomorrow(sorry for poor pic):

attachment.php?attachmentid=130826&stc=1&d=1303152732

The back bumper needs taking off and fitting back on properly:

attachment.php?attachmentid=130827&stc=1&d=1303152764

Also, the front bumper doesn't fit neatly, it looks like there is no bracket for it on the drivers side, this and the rear bumper will obviously be fixed at the same time as the respray:

attachment.php?attachmentid=130828&stc=1&d=1303152775

attachment.php?attachmentid=130829&stc=1&d=1303152787

Then inside the car, there is a slight ill fitting of the dash board where it meets the drivers A-Pillar:

The plastics around the gear stick(please ignore the filthiness, I'm cleaning the inside out tomorrow):

attachment.php?attachmentid=130831&stc=1&d=1303153155

Then there is the boot plastics and seals which have been damaged through putting the roof on and off its boot mounts:

attachment.php?attachmentid=130832&stc=1&d=1303153169

attachment.php?attachmentid=130833&stc=1&d=1303153176

Then finally I got my new cover out:

attachment.php?attachmentid=130834&stc=1&d=1303153189

And put the car back in the garage with it's new cover on to keep it warm:

Next update(warning weightsaving boys may want to look away)

Ok, now the car is running BPU, it's got LOUD, even though the car is only driven in good weather(so rarely taken out the garage), the exhaust noise is annoying me, and there was also a slight rattle from the drivers door card, so I decided to install some soundproofing to the boot and doors to try and make the car generally a nicer place to be.

I unfortunatelly know eff all about soundproffing so had no idea what to get, I tried to do some research but in the end, I just went for the V3 as this seemed to be priced middle of the range, anyway I shall let the pics do the talking, however please note, this is not my neatest job as it was the first time I have done it, but it is well hidden.

attachment.php?attachmentid=130836&stc=1&d=1303153315

attachment.php?attachmentid=130837&stc=1&d=1303153327

attachment.php?attachmentid=130838&stc=1&d=1303153334

attachment.php?attachmentid=130839&stc=1&d=1303153344

attachment.php?attachmentid=130840&stc=1&d=1303153353

attachment.php?attachmentid=130841&stc=1&d=1303153360

attachment.php?attachmentid=130843&stc=1&d=1303153381

The sound quality from the speakers has now considerably improved, although I do want a little bit more to complete the doors off.

Then next up was the iPod, I wanted a neat install that hid it away from view as one of my pet hates is things stuck on the dash or flashy lights.

Anyway, onto the iPod install, I decided to install it in the centre compartment, anyway, again, I'll let the pics do the talking as it's fairly self explanetary:
