JohnA
1. Do they have AFM or MAP sensor? 2. Does pulling out their ETCS fuse light up the ECU light and muck up part-throttle response? 3. If a boost controller is fitted, does the VVTi try to cut in and 'help' restore the old balance? cheers guys
geoffvalenti
1. They've got both, but they control the fuelling with the AFM 2. Pulling the TRAC fuse disables the drive by wire throttle, (no response for the first two thirds of pedal travel then nothing to full throttle in the last third ) and makes the car idle at about 12-1500 rpm 3. I wouldn't have thought so, it's not something that cuts in and out, but I've been wrong before
JohnA
1. They've got both, but they control the fuelling with the AFM I was wondering if I was looking at a 'botch special', but this explains it. 2. Pulling the TRAC fuse disables the drive by wire throttle, (no response for the first two thirds of pedal travel then nothing to full throttle in the last third ) and makes the car idle at about 12-1500 rpm Exactly what it did yesterday at the dyno. That explains that too. 3. I wouldn't have thought so, it's not something that cuts in and out, but I've been wrong before I now see on another thread of Terry's that the VVTi shuts the throttle when it senses knock ---> exactly what it appeared to be doing yesterday when boost was going over stock. Hmmm.... Thanks Geoff
