Whitesupraboy2
I hate to say it but a big team needs to crumble because of money...wake up everyone involved in football a little.
jagman
Football is now a business , and a failing one at that:how can man city for example pay more in wages than turnover? No suprise they lost something like 120 + million last year. Success on the field seems neither here or there , man u in one of their most successful years on field lost 40 million . "investors" read mugs , lol. With a decline in the economy there will be far less advertising revenue , and dubious if it even worked in the first place ! Do people insure things based on a football shirt advert? Sky sport subscription and pay per view will decline so less income for football . The magic and spectacle of football in my view has slowly declined over the years ,agents, and contracts , backhanders in a business awash with non existent money! Football Hero,s are in the press weekly for dogging and Christ knows what else. Bread and Circus only works for a period of time . The FA needs to wise up !! A business it is not Atm...and for fans to buy into it ..lol

Bobbeh
Liverpool have too many rich fans around the world, its clear there's loads of interest in the club from many different sources, I cant see it falling. Not sure what that Texas judge holds any jurist diction over our High court, but it'll be interesting finding out
johnny g
Liverpool have too many rich fans around the world, its clear there's loads of interest in the club from many different sources, I cant see it falling. Not sure what that Texas judge holds any jurist diction over our High court, but it'll be interesting finding out RBS have significant business interests in Texas and: STRUCTURE OF LFC Kop Investment LLC (KI) An American company, co-owned by Gillett & Hicks. This owns: Kop Football (Cayman) Ltd (KFCL) A company registered in the Cayman Islands. This owns: Kop Football (Holdings) Ltd. (KFHL) A UK holding company. This owns: Kop Football Ltd (KFL) Another UK holding company. This owns: Liverpool Football Club & Athletic Grounds Ltd (LFCAGL). This is the club itself. Kop Investment is an American company, which effectively owns the club, so it all looks very legit to me Oh I'm flying my rofflecopter

Swampy442
Its really bad for football this, all rivalry aside. The worst thing that ever happened to the English leagues was boards and PLCs.
davej705
How did Liverpool let this happen to them? Sad times You know you got it bad when a west ham fan feels pity for your club
johnny g
Its really bad for football this, all rivalry aside. The worst thing that ever happened to the English leagues was boards and PLCs. Blame the inception of the Premier League and Sky's money. Ruined the british game. At least Everton are English owned and in a lot better shape. How did Liverpool let this happen to them? Sad times Greed, mainly. They believed the biggest hype around the take over when H&G Gillette took charge. Then Benitez squanders tens of millions of pounds, but the Liverpool fan's blind devotion to him means the pressure was on H&G to finance, refinance and also try to fund a stadium. £200+m in transfers should have bred success, which would have (partially) funded a stadium, but Benitez rotated his way out of trophies and had the wrong priorities. Then he wanted to splash out more money and they finally put their foot down, and the devotion Benitez makes teh supporters turn on the board. Once they started burning American flags outside the ground (classy), the writing was on the wall. Hicks and Gillette have had a torrent of unfair abuse IMO and now, they want their money, plus damages and I for one, can't blame them. LMAO they are liars, they started as soon as they promised no debt on the club, then burrowed the money to buy it. LFC turns over huge amounts of money, more than enough to cover what rafa spent. However with the debt they saddled the club with we started losing money and having to make net gains with transfers. But then again you are a blue, so id expect nothing less. Funny enough id hope that no football fan has to go though this. Be it everton or even Man Utd.
davej705
I gotta agree with johnny about Benitez being massively at fault.he bought ALOT of flops. But h+g did promise a new stadium etc and they have failed miserably Fact of the matter is Liverpool are no longer competitive on the pitch or off it.sad times for English football really...
