Swampy442
Im not gomnna take the piss either, as a Norwich fan Im out of your league so to speak lol. But I feel a typical knee jerk reaction coming and Woy is gonna get dumped for not getting results despite inheriting a shower o shite from Rafa. Its early days but its so strange to see the Baggies, Stoke and Blackpool in the top half!
jim
There was some fury from the kop this afternoon, I've never seen as bad a half from them as the first 45 today. Second half they came out and got their goal but it petered out and if anything it looked like finishing 3-1 rather than Liverpool getting anything out of it. They were chanting Dalglish at the end, some were even singing for rafa (lol). I think our target is to stay up this season. Haven't seen the highlights yet, but their second goal looked well offside. Still no excuse.
Swampy442
Theres still 93 points up for grabs! I get so annoyed when the press say theres a 7 point gap, blahblahs season is over. It takes a run of defeats or draws for the leading team to bring everyone else in touch
supramkivcork
Liverpool fan here. All I can say is that it's very sad to see the club going down the tubes.
supra-ireland
Liverpool fan here. All I can say is that it's very sad to see the club going down the tubes. Aye, I felt the closest we came to winning it was the 07/08 season and that was when United were much better. 08/09 was a disaster. When Hodgson took over the first few games look promising but now it's looking even worse than last season. I'm surprised that Torres didn't leave this Summer TBH. hogmaw
I'll take the piss. NO club is sacred - look at Leeds Utd and countless others who have spent years in the Prem or the old 1st Division. History counts for nothing, nobody has a right to remain in the top tier - results are all that matter, and at the moment Liverpool's results point all the way to the Championship

supra-ireland
The way he is playing he'd be lucky if someone took him , lol. Heh-heh, they probably should have sold him when they had the chance. I'd say he's worth way less than last season. Football's fickle, how much has Rooney's Net worth dropped in the last couple of weeks? supramkivcork
Weren't people talking about Rooney being better than Pele a couple of years ago ? Abidi Pele maybe who had a stint with Marseille is about it...

Abidi Pele maybe who had a stint with Marseille is about it... He has had some moments of class but these days they're far too quick to pronounce someone the 'Next Big Thing'. Michael Owen, Theo Walcott, Wayne Rooney, Kiko Macheda, etc..." Owen was class for a couple of years and then that was it. Walcott has a few moments of genius but is hopelessly inconsistent, Rooney has been unreal but if he can't handle being Wayne Rooney then it's never going to work. Macheda, well, lol... supramkivcork
Meh I/we could go on all night about over-rated footballers .
supra-ireland
Meh I/we could go on all night about over-rated footballers . True but this is more about rapid devaluation. It's one of the worst things that's happened football. With players it's more annoying than anything but with managers it's ruining the game. If you don't get instant results they want you out. People forget that Ferguson was almost booted out of United before he won anything. Mancini will be gone next season, Hodgson too probably. Although saying that Benetiz probably got too much time. That aside, most managers need to be give a better chance...
den1
To Be honest...This is one almighty blip! In all seriousness I expect them to bounce back at some point The club WILL be saved by someone.. They are such a valuable famous world brand to fall that far There..I told you so
The Raven
There..I told you so I will hold fire on the "saved" until they have a season or so. Lets not forget Hicks made all the same noises.
johnny g
The guy taking over is an aquaintance of Hicks and Gillette. He's also less well off than them. He's gained his money in hedge funds and has a net worth of around £550m or around $850m. If paying £280m for the club, then he's not going to sacrifice the rest for transfers. I'm thinking (and hoping) that he's a Hicks puppet and HE is the refinance deal

If he was a hicks man i would have thought he wouldnt be trying to go to court to stop it.

MaveriK
Though you would. Least we wont have to ground share. It would still make sense for the two of you to ground share, imagine the quality of stadium you could have if you pulled together. Plus in the championship you wont need such a big ground. Swampy442
Listening to 5 live earlier, in the Prem league rich list the prospective new owners wealth ranks him 2 places above the owner of Stoke lol. But hes not in it alone, theres 7 or 8 investors looking to buy, and theyre not leverage buyers and also talk of interfacing with supporters looking to buy shares too, might be good times ahead. And as for ground share, come on, the Milan teams can work it out
